The Tuareg people have always been defined by connection, between families, across regions, and through generations.
Today, Tuareg families across the United States continue to carry these bonds forward. Whether gathered for cultural celebrations, religious occasions, or everyday moments of togetherness, our community remains rooted in shared values of dignity, hospitality, and mutual care.

We are Tuareg families, elders, students, and professionals living across the United States. While our journeys and experiences differ, we are united by a shared heritage, language, and set of values that connect us to the Sahara and to one another.
This community exists to support connection, preserve identity, and create spaces where Tuareg culture can continue to thrive in the diaspora.
Why This Community Exists
Living in the diaspora presents both opportunity and challenge. While many Tuareg families have built new lives across the United States, distance from our homelands can make it difficult to maintain language, cultural knowledge, and intergenerational connection.
This community exists to ensure that our identity is not diluted or forgotten, but intentionally preserved: through gathering, learning, and collective responsibility.
